Beehive Valve Springs combine the latest technology available. By reducing the top coil of the spring it allows for a reduced mass retainer. Additionally, beehives offer a multi-arc (Ovate or Egg Shaped) that allows for the stress distribution of the wire to be equally distributed on the opposing sides of the wire. Combine these features and the result is a variable frequency spring that performs at a higher level RPM over traditional springs. PAC Racing Springs offers a large selection of beehive for the standard engines. PAC 1200 Series Street Performance Springs are used for to replace or improve on the performance above and beyond OEM engines. These springs are selected when you are upgrading camshafts or doing engine re-builds. The 1200 series line uses a premium alloy that out performs automotive industry standards, additionally PAC Racing Springs processes these springs to aerospace shotpeening standards to allow for superior fatigue performance. PAC Racing uses a proprietary process to ensure the springs maintain the load needed to withstand the rigors of street performance and mild racing applications. PAC 1400 Series Sportsman Beehive Springs recent rule changes allow these to be used in certain classes of racing. These springs use multi-arc (egg-shaped) wire and offer the advantages of a lightened retainer, variable rate, and ultra-high frequency. Combine these design features with the latest in heat treating and alloy selection and you have a significant performance advantage over traditional springs. PAC 1500 Series Springs offers an industry leading nitriding process that allows for the material to withstand the abusive wear and fatigue of the typical endurance engine environment. These springs come fully prepared for performance applications and come with additional polishing and surface enhancements. From 24 hours of LeMans to the rigors of NASCAR, the 1500 Series spring has the history to withstand the most demanding environments.
